Pam began her career as a Respiratory Therapist, but after 16 years in that profession, decided that it was time to pursue a second career. To do so, Pam returned to school and received her second Associates Degree in 2001.
Pam was laid off from her position as a Therapist, and found a new position at Uni Boring as an Inventory Specialist. Uni Boring is a company that machines engine blocks for the Big 3 Automotive companies. After an introductionary period, the Purchasing Manager offered Pam the opportunity to become involved in procurement while maintaining inventory responsibilities. Pam was promoted to Jr. Buyer / Inventor Coordinator in 1999. Pam continued with her education, and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Cleary University in 2003.
When Uni Boring fell on hard times, Pam fell back on her Respiratory career for a few short years, until she was offered a position with Mopec in 2006, a company that manufactures morgue and autopsy equipment. Pam worked 5 years as aSenior Buyer / Supervisor at Mopec.
Pam currently works as a buyer at Ford Credit in Dearborn and has been there for 2 years.
Pam joined ISM in 2000, and has attended the majority of our Membership dinner meetings, and many other Professional Development events. She obtained her C.P.M. in 2009. Pam has served on the ISM-SEM Board of Directors since January 2011.
